German Mezzo Janina Baechle is a regular guest on the international opera and concert stages.<\/p>\n

Starting her career belonging to the\u00a0 Staatstheater Braunschweig and Hannover, she was a member of the Vienna state opera until 2010, where she still returns as a regular guest.<\/p>\n

She was invited to major opera houses like the Semperopera in Dresden , the Hamburg and Munich State Opera, the Gran Teatro del Liceu, Scala di Milano, Op\u00e9ra National de Paris, the opera houses in Lyon and Bordeaux, the Th\u00e9atre du Capitole Toulouse, San Francisco Opera, Canadian Opera Company Toronto and the Edinburgh Festival.<\/p>\n

Her operatic repertoire centers around Brangaene \/ Tristan und Isolde, Fricka, Erda and Waltraute in Der Ring des Nibelungen, Gertrud \/H\u00e4nsel und Gretel, Gaea\/Daphne, Herodias\/Salome, Filipjewna\/Eugene Onegin, Genevi\u00e8ve\/ Pell\u00e9as et M\u00e9lisande, Kabanicha\/ Katia Kabanova and Jezibaba\/ Rusalka.<\/p>\n

Recently she enriched her repertoire further with successful debuts of La Nourrice\/ Ariane et Barbe Bleu(Paul Dukas) and Mme de Croissy \/Dialogues des Carm\u00e9lites (Francis Poulenc) at the Capitole de Toulouse.<\/p>\n

On the concert stage her work centers around the works of Gustav Mahler and the early 20th<\/sup> century and she appeared among others with the Dresden, Munich,Stuttgart, New York and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestras, the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, the HR and NDR\u00a0 Radiosymphonieorchestras, the National Polish Radio Orchestra, RSO Vienna, Bruckner Orchestra and Klangforum Vienna.<\/p>\n

She worked repeatedly with conductors Christian Thielemann, Sir Simon Rattle, Semyon Bychkov, Jeffrey Tate, Christoph von Dohnany, Pascal Roph\u00e9, Marc Albrecht, Krzystzof Penderecki, Frank Beermann, Andres Orozco Estrada , Leif Segerstam,Philippe Jordan and Mariss Jansons.<\/p>\n

Janina Baechle is also an avid recitalist and performs with her piano partners Markus Hadulla, Anne LeBozec, Charles Spencer, Marcelo Amaral, Florian Krump\u00f6ck or Elisabeth Leonskaja programs that often center around Lied and French m\u00e9lodies at the Hugo-Wolf Akademie, the Liedsommer Eppan , Vienna Musikverein, Festival de Musique Menton, Convergences at the Paris Opera and the Mus\u00e9e d\u00b4Orsay Paris, Kultursommer Semmering, at the Beethovenfest Warsaw or the Gustav Mahler Wochen in Toblach.<\/p>\n

Her work has been documented on CD and DVD and her CD \u201eUrlicht\u201c with works by Gustav Mahler (with Markus Hadulla) won the Orph\u00e9e d\u00b4Or 2014.<\/p>\n

Janina Baechle studied with Gisela Litz at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik in Hamburg and worked many years with Brigitte Fassbaender.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>
