Janina Baechles second album "Was Liebe sei?" has just been released on Marsyas. Accompanied by Charles Spencer this is the Vol 2 of a Liszt songs complete recording and after "Chansons Grises" her second album for Marsyas.(for more click "CD/DVD": Accompanied by Charles Spencer she sings "Chansons Grises" by R.Hahn, Lili Boulanger, Zemlinsky a.o.)On DVD she appeares in the recording of the Vienna State Opera Production of Moses and Aron(Daniele Gatti, Franz Grundheber, Thomas Moser) as "eine Kranke". The much acclaimed production of the Volksoper of "Evangelimann" with her moving Magdalena is on DVD with Cappriccio (Eschwé, Reinprecht,Baechle, Müller, Koch, Fink)

The 2009/2010 season sees Janina Baechle a.o. as Fricka/ Walkyrie in San Francisco as well as also being Erda and Waltraute in the March ring cycle at the Vienna State Opera.Other future engagements will bring her to Vienna and Munich and to Paris, creating at the Opera National de Paris the titlerole of Bruno Mantovanis "Akhmatova". Recitals and concerts will bring her to Andechs(July 9th/10th 2010) and to the Mahler weeks in Toblach (July 12th and 13th 2010)
